Art Deco - Amsterdam School Dark Oak Stacked Storage with Drop Down Desk
Netherlands
Art Deco - Amsterdam School wide dark oak stacked storage cabinet with many stylish and components. This piece, similar to a barristers bookcase features sliding glass doors, a drop down desk or bar (with glass surface), and 2 units of full width storage. In addition here are two ingenious pull out lights, both with US plugs with E14 socket (top) and small bayonet - Mini T3.25 socket (bottom). The Amsterdam School (1910s through about 1930) was a Dutch counterpart to the Art Deco movement where, using beautiful woods like glossy mahogany and strong oak, renowned designers Paul Bromberg, K.P.C. de Bazel, Anton Kurvers, and J.J. Zijffers produced furniture in this highly distinctive style. Their designs encompassed every facet of design such as tables, chairs, and armchairs as well as from larger objects and architecture. This guaranteed that the furniture, bathroom tiles, cabinet doors, and door knobs all contributed to the overall harmony of ones interior. This lovely example of the style is in original condition with some visible wear consistent with its age and use.
