Dutch Mid-Century WéBé "Combi 311" Rosewood Dresser

Louis Van Teeffelen (attr) / WéBé / Netherlands

Dutch Mid-Century WéBé manufactured "Combi 311" mini rosewood dresser attributed to designer Louis van Teeffelen (1921–1972). Most renowned for his furniture designs for Wébé, he served as the factory's chief designer from 1955 until the end of 1967 and during this time the firm manufactured a plethora of high-quality furniture using teak, rosewood, and occasionally walnut and wenge. It was one of the bigger furniture factories in the Netherlands at the time and its work is still recognized for its seamless combination of form and function, this piece being a perfect example of the company's output. Rosewood body with metal base and wood tipped feet. In original condition, with some age appropriate wear, including minor bubble of veneer on the front.
