Dutch Mid-Century RAAK Amsterdam Double Globe Wall Sconce. RAAK Amsterdam produced some of the Netherlands' most recognized Mid-Century lighting during the 1960s and 1970s, with globe designs that reflected the era's interest in optically pure, geometric forms. Each of these wall sconces mounts two clear glass globes—each 7 inches in diameter—on a chrome ring bracket secured to a black enameled metal backplate. The chrome collar hardware and plug-in wiring configuration are consistent with RAAK's production methods of the period. Silver-tipped medium base bulbs are shown and suit the fixture's reflective interior construction. Each sconce carries two independent cords, allowing plug-in use without hardwiring, though hardwiring is also possible—please specify at time of purchase.
