Ernesto Gismondi For Artemide "Camera Terra" Floor Lamp Italy 1980

Ernesto Gismondi / Artemide / Italy

Italian, Post-Modern, Ernesto Gismondi for Artemide designed "Camera Terra" floor lamp. Manufactured in Italy during the 1980s. The "Camera Terra" floor lamp consists of a chromed metal rod, a black enameled metal spherical base, and a matching enameled lampshade. In 1960, Sigismondi co-founded Artemide with designer Sergio Mazza and created several lights for the company. The designer soon rose to prominence as a major force in Italian design, a path that eventually led to him becoming one of the main figures in the Memphis movement. This light, a fantastic example of Gismondi's prowess and talent, is in original condition with some age-appropriate signs of wear and usage.
