Mid-Century Martin Visser 'SE03' Side Chair for 't Spectrum with Yellow Frame

Martin Visser / 't Spectrum / Netherlands

Striking, Mid-Century 'SE03' side chair by Martin Visser for 't Spectrum circa 1973. Visser, a quintessential designer of the Dutch Post-War design movement, began working for 't Spectrum in 1954 and soon spearheaded the company's entire collection. He had an architectural and civil engineering background and his designs were influenced by functionalism, industrial design, and craft-built furniture. Characteristic of his work are the use of welded tubing and sparse, clean and clearly defined forms. This newly powder coated tubular sunshine yellow metal frame with white faux leather seat is a fun and comfortable example of his work and ideal for bringing a pop of color and style to any room. In original condition with some age appropriate wear consistent with age and use.
