Beautiful, Hans Wegner designed, Mid-Century, white lacquered rocking chair with woven papercord seat. Wegner's early interest in the rocking chair as a design object may be seen in J16, one of his first designed chairs to be manufactured. The initial version was made in 1944 and early in the 1960s mass production of the chair starts after a process to streamline the manufacturing process. In good original condition with some frame wear, scrapes and fading consistent with its age and use.
