Swedish design luminary Anders Pehrson (1912-1982) stands as one of the most important European designers of the post-war, Mid-Century period. Born in Gothenburg, Pehrson was the design manager at Philips AB from 1952 to 1963. Then, in 1963 he became the owner and the head of design at Ateljé Lyktan where his vision flourished into a highly influential body of work. The iconic fluorescent work light pendant “Supertube” was launched in 1967 by Ateljé Lyktan, Sweden and this rare, Space Age, U-shaped version of the design classic is an awe-inspiring example of his vision: A marriage of form and function that remains relevant to this day. It is in original condition, with some age appropriate wear.
