1932 "The Hague School" art deco desk by P.E.L Izeren

P. E. L. Izeren / De Genneper Molen / Netherlands

Love P.E.L. Izeren for De Genneper Molen, ca. 1932 Haagse School Asymmetrical Desk. This Art Deco, versatile two tone, oak desk has a black stained top, side storage cabinet and side shelving. Storage shelves measure 22.5" x 7.5” and seat clearance is 22.5". Similar to Frank Lloyd Wright's style, the "The Hague School" was a counterpart to the more decorative "Amsterdam School" and can be considered the Dutch version of the "Art Deco" movement. Desk has been lightly refinished with remaining visible patina and age appropriate wear. Missing key, and no handle on cabinet door. Advert photo shows different but similar model from same manufacturer.
