"Cleopatra" Daybed with Salmon Mattress and Bolster

Mid-Century, 1960's Cleopatra daybed by A.R. Cordemeyer with white painted wood ends on a white enameled metal frame and custom salmon mattress and bolster. Manufactured by Royal Auping, the Cleopatra divan bed was developed by A.R. Cordemeyer in 1953 to fit in with the newly updated, more streamlined bedroom style of the 1950s. Its sleek lines and minimalist approach made it fit right in with the burgeoning Modernist movement in Post-War Dutch design. Others Cleopatra's are available in different color ways and sizes (S076).
