Set of four T70 "Thalia" oak and papercord arch back chairs designed by Annig Sarian for Tisettanta, Milan, Italy. These chairs were designed in the mid 1960's in Beech and Ash. Oak was added to the production choices in the 19080s. Bentwood frames feature distinctive arched backrests with vertical central splats, creating sculptural silhouettes with organic curves. Natural paper cord seats woven in traditional patterns complement the warm honey-toned wood. Horizontal stretchers provide structural support while maintaining visual lightness. Well-preserved examples show minor wear consistent with age. Priced as a set of 4.
