Dutch Mid-Century, "Model 356" office chair designed by Christoffel Hoffmann for Gispen. The Model 356 reflects that institutional design tradition, combining upholstered comfort with an industrial tubular metal structure typical of Gispen's postwar office line. The metal swivel base has a minor height-adjustment mechanism, and upholstered in black fabric. Shows wear consistent with age and use.
