Kurt Østervig designed oak dining table with butterfly leaf. The leaf measures 27". The natural oak has a golden patina and the leaf is a slightly lighter shade. Østervig has been a sorely underestimated designer, especially in light of the quality of his output. Slowly this has been changing in the past years, and today he is getting more attention – not only from those already familiar with his work but also from the public who come across his legacy by chance. This piece is a fine showcase of his talent and his eye. On this table the wear is consistent with its age and use, with some signs of wear to the feet.
