Paul Kingma designed mosaic stone coffee table with embedded mixed materials, stone and metal fragments. Kingma saw his tables as “a tableau, a self-contained design that can be used as a table afterwards" and stated that his goal was "... to create a tableau that ignores fashion, does not age or wear out and serves for years to come. Or longer". Original condition with visible chipping to edge of table as well as some cracking. The base consists of 2 L shaped enameled metal pieces that can be placed together or at a distance. The frame shows visible wear consistent with it's age and use. A small embedded brass fragment is stamped Kingma '81.
