Set of 4 Mid-Century Danish Oak Dining Chairs by Poul Volther
Poul Volther / Denmark
Poul Volther, trained as a cabinetmaker with a detailed knowledge of construction, was a fervent advocate of Functionalism during the Modern Era. Aside from being a prolific designer, he was a professor at the Danish Design School where his precise sense of form and exacting standards for usefulness had a profound impact on hundreds of budding designers - casting a shadow on Danish Design that is even larger than that of his designs. This set of 4 oak dining chairs has black skai seats. In original condition with visible wear including scuffs and scratches. Wear is consistent with their age and use. Other Mid-Century Danish oak available and listed separately.
