Beautiful 1950s vanity by A.A. Patijn for Zijlstra Meubelfabriek. Zijlstra, founded in the Dutch province of Frisia during the 1920s initially manufactured church furniture but pivoted to secular furniture in the post war era. Patijn worked freelance for the company but gave them their biggest success with the famed Poly-Z line in the 1950s. This piece, brimming with Patijn's trademark sharp and clean lines, is made from walnut with brass accents and self leveling feet. There is a glass shelf and stunning three fold mirror. In original condition with visible wear consistent with its age and use. Two available, listed separately. (ST233-42).
