Mid-century, Wim Rietveld designed, "1401" Lounge Chair for Gispen

Dutch mid-century designer Wim Rietveld (son of famed "De Stijl" artist Gerrit Rietveld). created a handsome, minimalist design for Gispen in 1954 that earned a gold prize in Milan the very same year. This chair has the original Bakelite armrests on an enameled gray steel frame lounge chair with comfortable seat and back rests in a newly upholstered mustard yellow fabric.
