Beautiful 'Balou' lounge chair with ottoman in a sand-colored leather with brushed aluminum feet by Jane Worthington for Leolux. Jane Worthington (1969, UK) graduated from the prestigious De Monfort University in 1990 and moved to the Netherlands to work for Philips Design, where she remained until 1995. After 1995, Worthington gradually shifted her design emphasis from electronic goods to furniture, and she now works for major international manufacturers in Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Her award-winning work for Sede, which was featured in the "International Design Yearbook 2003," is notable for its functional, innovative, and sculptural figuration. Her design here, an envelope-pushing concept of style is brought to life while closely adhering tp the goal of embracing and supporting its guest. It is in original condition with some wear and scratching consistent with its age and use. Sold as set which includes the chair and the ottoman.
