Handsome Artifort swivel lounge chair with white Saarinen style tulip base and new yellow velvet upholstery, designed by British designer Geoffrey Harcourt for acclaimed Dutch furniture house Artifort in 1972. Born in 1935, Geoffrey D. Harcourt honed his technique while studying at London's prestigious Royal College of Art. He began working with Artifort in 1962, creating office furniture that improves work efficiency and complements modern décor. Long regarded as one of the best and most versatile Post-War designers, Harcourt has won numerous awards during his long and successful career. This chair, a stunning example of his work, has a frame in original condition with some visible wear, consistent with its age and use.
