Dutch Mid-Century, Cees Braakman designed, wall mounted vanity with teak top and cream drawer. Part of the acclaimed so-called Japanese Series by highly influentual Dutch post-war furniture manufacturer Pastoe. Braakman, the head designer for the company's golden age was almost literally born to design for the company having been born above the Pastoe factory where his father worked as a floor manager. Under his leadership some of the most recognizable pieces of Dutch post-war design were created. This piece, from the company's heyday, is in original condition with normal wear consistent with age and use.
