Impressive giant four-door wardrobe from the 1920s, attributed to the early Austrian modernist architect and designer Franz Schuster. This seminal piece is a stunning example of his streamlined, functionalist design. The simple exterior doors showcase a spectacular, elaborate figuration in curly heart pine. The interior of each of the four sections is equally well-considered, featuring six adjustable shelves that can be arranged to create a custom storage solution. In lightly refinished condition, this rare and beautifully made armoire is a timeless piece of Austrian design history.
