Jan Hoogervorst designed this model 6043 desk lamp for Anvia Almelo in 1964, during the height of Dutch modernist lighting innovation. The lamp features a distinctive horseshoe-profile conical shade in forest green enameled metal with adjustable black metal arm and weighted circular base. Versatile design functions as both desk and wall lamp. Lamp remains in original condition with medium bulb socket and shows wear consistent with age and use. Known colloquially as the horseshoe lamp, this design icon represents Hoogervorst's minimalist approach to functional lighting from the 1950s and 1960s.
