Pair of 'Oase 1407' chairs designed by Wim Rietveld and A.R. Cordemeyer for Ahrend De Cirkel. Newly upholstered with a House of Hackney Fabric positioned in a way that the large-scale pattern unfolds as a mural spreading out across the 2 chairs. Set in black enameled sheet metal frames. The “Oase” chair won the Signe d’Or-prize for furniture design at the 1959 Salon. The back and seats snap into its frame for a unique chair feature. In overall original condition with wear consistent with age and use. Show with the Gispen Mosquito Table (T300) listed separately. Priced as a set.
