Mid-Century table or writing desk designed by Danish designer Arne Jacobsen in 1971 as part of the DJOB furniture system for Denmark's National Bank. The office furniture series DJOB was about to be put into production when Arne Jacobsen passed away. The series, which included tables, shelving units and archive furniture, was characterized by sturdy aluminium frames, rounded corners and drawers with round pulls. Arne Jacobsen used the DJOB series in his interior design of the National Bank of Denmark.The table is made of beech wood and has a laminate top (gray with a hint of green) that sits -unattached- in its flat tubular anodized aluminum frame with (removable) self leveling feet. The top has been touched up, the rest is in original condition with age appropriate signs of wear.
