Dutch Mid-Century Janni van Pelt Angle Wall Mount Oak Cabinet with Sliding Doors

Dutch Mid-Century, 1950s, angled wall mount cabinet with oak frame and laminate doors. Subtle, minimalist design by Janni van Pelt for her "My Home company" has an oak body with a canted front of contrasting light-grey sliding panels with delicate curved chrome handles. The side panels are trimmed with a grey painted banding. Metal mounting hardware tabs extend past the top edge to anchor the unit to the wall. Van Pelt, an influential designer in her own right, is the daughter of Bas van Pelt (1900–1945), the famous pre-war Dutch designer and founder of the progressive interior firm My Home. This wonderful piece is in original condition with age appropriate wear.
