Potter Knud Nielsen founded Bangholm Keramik Denmark in Skodstrup, Denmark, in 1948 with his father, also a potter. Famous for its brightly striped, glazed, functional and everyday terracotta pottery, Bangholm reached its height of prominence in the 1950s and 1960s before being acquired in 1990 by Iben Scott Lundby, a family friend and former potter for the company. It has since ceased operations. This lovely bowl in a striking blue glaze is signed on the bottom and is sized at 9.75 x 9.75 x 2.625
