Mid-Century "Reply" drafting table with adjustable top, the result of a collaboration between Wim Rietveld and Friso Kramer, two towering figures in Dutch post-war design. Manufactured by Ahrend de Cirkel in 1958. Notable for its hinging mechanism and adjustable on two points. Wooden top measures 35.625" x 25.75". One foot is height adjustable/self leveling. In original condition with heavy, visible wear including scratches and enamel loss. The top has names, words and the date "Dec. 27, 1958" carved into it. Wear is consistent with its age and use.
