The iconic De Sede DS600 "Nonstop" or "Snake" sectional sofa by Ueli Berger, Eleanora Peduzzi-Riva and Heinz Ulrich. This example in black leather consists of 15 pieces with dark brown wool felt bases. When zipped together, the sofa can be curved in or out to varying degrees, shown here in a half-moon shape. In vintage condition with visible wear, including scratching, cracking to the leather, and color loss. The leather on the majority of the sofa has previously been over-painted black, which leaves the leather a bit stiff and somewhat prone to additional cracking. Leather on both ends and the seats of two other pieces have been re-upholstered by the previous owner. There is visible wear and patina as described, including some over-spray onto the felt. Wear is consistent with its age and use.
