Iconic Brutalist sculptural bronze "Stalagmite" coffee table designed Paul Evans, 1970's. Features a welded sculptural and heavily textured bronze base with tapered stalagmite forms and concave demilune. Base offers a wonderful organic texture consisting of an abundance of raised curvilinear forms. These forms support a heavy rectangular clear glass top. Brilliant and functional, this table is a rare and exquisite example of Paul Evan's practice and craftsmanship. Inscribed on the inside of its frame is the signature "PE 69". In original condition with visible wear to frame and glass including scratches consistent with normal use. frame mm: 41.5 x 13.5 x 15.5. Glass is .75" thick.
