Swedish Mid-Century, 'Furubo' pine arm chairs with Swedish plaid cushions. Designed by Yngve Ekström for Swedese, 1970s.A pivotal figure in the development of Scandinavian Modernism, Ekstrom was a renowned furniture designer, wood carver, sculptor, and architect. These chairs feature spindle backrests set between upper and lower rails, designed to support rectangular back cushions upholstered in a red and burnt-orange checkered fabric, which hang from matching fabric loops. Shown with matching two-tiered pine salon table. In original condition with some age appropriate signs of wear and usage.
